Important Note: Whitsun Closure of the Old Town (23–25 May 2026)
Due to the spectacular medieval “Whitsun” event taking place from 23 May to 25 May 2026, the old town will be closed to all vehicles during the following times:
- Whitsun Saturday, 23 May 2026: 12:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. (Rödertor until 9:00 p.m.)
- Whitsun Sunday, 24 May 2026: 9:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m. (Rödertor until 9:00 p.m.)
- Whitsun Monday, 25 May 2026: 9:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.
Cars may leave the town on Whitsun Saturday until 12:00 p.m., and on Whitsun Sunday and Monday until 10:00 a.m., exclusively via the Galgentor gate. Entry into the town in the evening is possible from 6:00 p.m. onwards.
We recommend unloading your luggage at the Galgentor or Rödertor gate and then parking your car in one of the parking areas listed below. Vehicle access to the old town is not permitted. Alternatively, you may park first and carry your luggage from the car park.
Parking lot P4 is closed. Please use parking areas 1, 2, 3, or 5. (MAP)
