The Imperial City Festival in September, is the highlight of the annual events. At this time, the entire city’s history is being opened-up and brought back to life by around a thousand contributors. There you will meet the knights’ group, the royal shooters or a medieval peasant group. Already, on Friday evening, there will be a big torchlight procession, of the history groups, to the market place. The historic town hall, with its many arches, then forms the backdrop for a fascinating firework display with music. The thunder from the cannons and firelight from the fireworks in the Taubertal area, captivating your eyes and ears.
